Guidelines

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

  • Parents are requested to read the guidelines and rules carefully and adhere to them.
  • Parents shall co-operate with the school authorities when called for consultation on matters of common interest.
  • Parents are expected to co-operate in the functioning of the school by enforcing regularity, punctuality and discipline on the part of their wards and by taking daily interest in their child’s progress.
  • Parents are requested to verify the school calendar and circulars in the school diary before making any enquires over phone.
  • Parents are requested to check the bags of their wards to see if any circular, notice, invitation etc. has been issued.
  • Parents should take part in the meetings and celebrations of the school.
  • Please ensure your child is well rested, well fed, healthy and PUNCTUAL to school every day.
  • All communication sent from the school should be preserved . No copies will be given at any point of time.
  • Communication with the school should be made only in the communication diary. Verbal communication will not be accepted.
  • Always check and sign the communication diary each day for updated information.
  • If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child’s progress or school life, please bring them to the Principal/Incharge. Ensure you take prior appointment from the school office.
  • Parents are not allowed to meet or speak to the teachers directly without taking prior appointment and without any other school official present.
  • The school office should be intimated if there is a change of address or phone number.
  • Do label school bag, lunch bag and personal belongings with your child’s name. This will help us return lost items.
  • Non vegetarian food is strictly not allowed. Remember to send a napkin, spoon / fork every day in the lunch bag.
  • For any letters, certificates required from the school (eg. Bonfide Certificate) request letters should be given 3 days in advance.
  • Students are solely responsible for their possessions.
  • Damaging school property will be strictly viewed. Damage if any, should be reported at once to the class teacher.
  • Littering is strictly prohibited. Use dustbins provided.
  • All are expected to converse only in English within the school campus.
  • Novels, Magazines, periodicals etc., should not be brought to school.
  • Children need to respect other students and behave in a healthy manner with their peers. Bullying and use of foul language are punishable offences. It is strictly forbidden to throw any object at anyone.
  • Undue shouting / whistling is not allowed in or around the school.
  • Running or shouting while using corridors and staircases is strictly prohibited.
  • Chewing gums within the school campus is strictly forbidden.
  • Students must not bring mobile phones, I-pods, cameras and expensive gadgets to school. If seized, it will be confiscated.
  • Students are strictly prohibited to ride motorbikes, scooters or cars for coming to school.
  • Indisciplined behaviour will be viewed seriously and appropriate action will be taken.

School Timing

  • LKG to IX : 08.25 a.m to 03:10 p.m.
  • X to XII : 08.25 a.m to 05:00 p.m.
  • Lunch Timing : 12:20 p.m. to 12:50 p.m.
  • The first bell will ring at 08:25 a.m.
  • Gate will be closed at 08:30 a.m.
  • Prayer : 08:30 a.m to 08:40 a.m.
  • Please do not be late to pickup your child as there is no supervision for children after 03:30 p.m.
  • If you anticipate a late pickup, please do call us that we can reassure your anxious child.
  • An authorized letter must be sent with the person who will pick the child up, when the parents are unable to do so.
  • Permissions will not be granted to come late or to be picked early from school.
  • Students will not be allowed to leave the school, in-between forenoon and afternoon sessions , except in case of unforeseen emergencies.
  • Students will be allowed to leave the school, with prior permission between 12:20 and 12:50 p.m.
  • Please note that during half working days school will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. Any change in timing will be communicated through the Diary.
  • If there is any Government declared holiday mentioned in any local channel or if mentioned in the newspaper, please consider it as a holiday for our school.

Saturday

  • LKG and UKG : Holiday
  • I to IX : 08:25 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • X to XII : 08:25 a.m. to 03.10 p.m.

DRESS CODE

The child should come to school in appropriate school uniform.

Monday through Thursday

  • STD : LKG to V
    Boys : Royal Blue shorts, Maroon & Black checked shirt
    Girls : Royal Blue divided skirt, Maroon & Maroon & Blacked shirt
  • STD : VI to VIII
    Boys : Royal Blue Long Pants, Maroon & Black checked shirt
    Girls : Royal Blue Pinafore, Maroon & Black checked shirt
  • STD : IX to XII
    Boys : Royal Blue Long Pants, Maroon & Black checked shirt
    Girls : Royal Blue Long Pants & vest , Maroon & Black checked tunic
  • Footwear : Black shoes & Black socks.

Friday sports uniform :

  • STD : KG : Blue shorts and Yellow T-shirt
  • STD : I to III : Black Shorts & T-shirt in respective house colour
  • STD : IV to XII : Black Pants & T-shirt in respective house colour
  • Footwear : Black shoes & Black socks.

Saturday :

  • STD : I to XII : Black shorts / Pants & T-shirt in Lavender colour
  • Students should come to school well groomed.
  • Fancy haircut is not permitted. Puffed hairstyle and spikes are not allowed.
  • Nails to be cleaned and trimmed regularly.
  • Students can wear only a black sweater, if necessary.
  • The only accessory permitted is a standard wrist watch. Gils can wear simple studs.
  • Boys should not wear ear stud.
  • Only students of classes KG – V are allowed to wear informal dress on their birthdays. Only Chikki may be sent for distribution, if desired.
  • Students of classes VI – XII are not permitted to wear informal dress on any occasions. unless permitted by the school. Sweet distribution during birthdays or any occasion is not permitted.
  • Gold ornaments of any kind should not be worn by both boys and girls.
  • Jewelry ( anklets,bangles, finger rings, ear hangings, etc.,) , makeup ( lip gloss, lip stick, mehandi, nail polish, eyeliner, kajal, eye shadow, eye brow pencil etc., ) hair colouring, coloured contact lens , flowers , long nails , tattoo , etc., are not allowed.
  • Boys must keep their hair trimmed and faces clean shaven on all working days.
  • Pants should be worn above the hip bones. Pencil fit pants is not allowed.
  • Girls must tie their hair into two plaits if it is of shoulder lenght or longer neatly with a black band. Hair should be kept clear of the forehead with black coloured hair band or a clip.
  • The school ID card should be worn by students of class VI – XII every day.
  • In case the student cannot come to school in full uniform the parent send a not in the Communication Diary on Uniform Default page no.34 stating the reason.

Attendance and Leave

  • 90% attendance is compulsory.
  • A leave letter on Leave Record page no.30 in the Communication Diary should be submitted when a child absents himself/ herself from school on the day the child returns to school.
  • If the reason for taking leave is known earlier, please take prior permission.
  • Please do not take leave one day before and / or after any public holiday.
  • Please see that your child does not take leave during the Assessments.
  • Late coming to school is a breach of discipline. Parents should see that their child comes to school on time. For any reason if they are late, please send a note in the Tardiness Record page no. 32 in communication diary.

Assessment

  • I Term : June to September
    Summative Assessment 1 : September
    II Term : October to December
    Summative Assessment 2 : December
    III Term : January to March
    Summative Assessment 3 : March / April
  • Formative Assessments will be conducted for classess I to IX each term
  • Grades will be allotted to
    • i) Punctuality in attending school
    • ii) Regularity in doing homework
    • iii) Good behaviour
    • iv) Neatness in all spheres
  • A Parent-teacher interactive session will be held after every assessment. Progress Reports will be issued during this session.
  • Progress Reports must be signed by the Parents / Guardian in person on that day.

Library Rules

  • Strict silence and discipline should be maintained in the library.
  • Students of clasess III – XII can access the school library.
  • A student can borrow only a book at a time for a week.
  • Books will be issued to students, during the library period only. No book will be issued or returned during the teaching hours.
  • Marking , underlining or writing on library books, periodicals, and newspapers is strictly forbidden.
  • If the books are not returned within the specified time a fine will be levied.
  • Library books that are lost or tampered will have to replaced.

School Transport

  • If a parent whose child is using the bus wants to pick him / her up , a note should be sent in the morning.
  • In the event of change of residence, prior information must be given to the school. Confirmation must be obtained in writing that the new location is within the school bus route, and that the child can be picked and dropped. There is no guarantee that a seat will be available on that bus route.
  • Please impress upon your child to maintain discipline in the bus. Disciplinary action may be initiated for continued disobedience, including stoppage of travel by the school bus.
  • Please ensure that the person who picks up the child regularly is present at the drop point.
  • Do not interact with drivers or attendants.

Withdrawal

  • Application for transfer certificate should be given to the Principal in writing with 15 days notice.
  • Students leaving the school in the middle of the term must pay the fees for the full term in which they leave.
  • Transfer Certificate will be given only to those students who have no arrear of fees.
  • Parent and the student should come in person to sign and obtain the transfer certificate on the specified date.

SMS

  • Since important messages are sent through SMS, kindly keep the phone numbers updated in our school records. The school will not be responsible if your phones are switched off and you do not receive the messages.
  • Home Assignments in brief will be sent vide SMS for classes I to IX.
